Acura :: Scheduled Maintenance

Acura will be coming down tonight at 10pm CDT for a fsck of /home. We do apologize for the frustrations and inconveniences, however this must be done to ensure the integrity of the data in the array.

We do not have an ETA at this time. We will update this thread accordingly once we have more information.

Could you explain why Hostgator refuses to send an email to primary account holders and resellers that the servers are going down for scheduled maintenance?

I called up support to find out why Acura was down and was talked down to by Shane when I asked why I was never sent an email notification. He told me in a condescending voice that the notice was posted in the forums in a very insulting way. When I asked why no e-mail, he said, "then you would claim I never got the message."

Honestly, this forum is better than nothing at all, but it's only slightly more useful than a post-it note on the refrigerator in the hostgator support break room.

When I explained my displeasure with the current system, he hung up the phone. Classy.

Every other service provider I know has the courtesy to contact customers. Why does hostgator treat us so poorly?
