Acura Down? - Page 4

My time over here has shown it's been more than 24 hours of down time and worst still it was yesterday morning (Monday) that the customer's sites went down and now it's (Tuesday) late afternoon, so to my customers it's TWO WORKING DAYS of down time!

Please reply to how you would resolve the problem of skipping the user names before "S"? do we have to wait for you to finish till the last letter and go back from the very beginning and wait for TWO MORE DAYS????

GatorDaveM is right in his statement and my sites with user-names starting I's are working But Those starting with K's and over are not working. Even I can't login to my WHM and my account starts with a Q.

Thanks for the update but unfortunately I don`t see how this can be the case. I have user id`s for clients ranging from "B" through to "Z" , none of which are working.

I appreciate that failures happen but as this server is primarily a reseller server it`s a bit of a disasater both for HG but more importantly for its reseller clients and their end user clients.

Its been down for in excess of 30 hours now with no sign of it coming back up. I appreciate what has been said about the 30% restored, 45% restored etc etc but sadly thats of no use if it doesn`t actually reflect the reality of the situation.

As I say, none of my clients sites are active yet.

As this server currently hosts 1487 domains, presumably the majority of which have sites, then its a bit of a blow for HG`s reseller clients. Thats 1487 very disappointed end clients all looking for an answer.

I`ve been happy with HG for a couple of years now, but unfortunately as with all hosts its easy to be good when it all goes well, it`s how they respond to problems when it all hits the fan which truly shows up the weaknesses.

Anyway, enough said, please get the server back up.

and so far have I only found 1 domain out of 60 to be reachable, and it has no content.

Its not the website name, but the username.
What is the username for your site.
Mine www.qafia.co.uk is working with username startinf with 'A', But those
username upto 'I' are working and those with username starting with 'J','K' and onward not working.

I agree with you, and i know they restore alphabetically but also i don't see any progress. I have user "KUxxxxx" not working yet but I have user "KIxxx" is working from more than 4 hours.

its simply unacceptable. we are paying you guyes money for this hosting. We should have compansation for this flaw in your system. Our websites are still down , no email. its business not a cup of tea.

I just spoke to Tech Support and they assured me it was the usernames in Cpanel that drive the back ups. My E and F accounts are up with no e-mail support.

Tech support also said to send an e-mail to sales@hostgator.com for a refund for the month.

This slow of a back up makes me suspicious. I know everyone else has irrate clients, but this type of disruption cannot be rectified by a free month of service.

They are now finishing restore on username starting K.

Support ticket #RCR-200732: acura server - P account not restored

not restored
user name: powersys
domain name: powersystemsinc.com
dns not working for powersystemsinc.com

dns is very slow for any of my other accounts, times out sometimes

cannot get into WHM to look at any of my accounts
cannot get into cpanel to look at any of my accounts

For those of you with accounts that are restored, do you have e-mail functionality?

I can see messages but get no response form the incoming server. tech Support says rebuild the account but I cannot afford to lose those messages.

Any ideas?

Shouldn't they refund a month to everyone on Acura rather than us having to request it?

Last post seems to be accurate (on K and going fast) all my domains that begin with a letter below K in the alpha are up and their email is as well.

Its the User's name of that particular website, and not the domain name.
