You should send an email to wesley @ hostgator.com and provide your HG account domain.

Forum activation is done manually due to the number of spammers that attempt to sign up. Wesley handles the activations and it can take some time. If you send him an email then he may be able to get you activated sooner and it helps speed things up to provide the information so that he can verify the account more quickly.

it seems strange not to have it be an automatic process since the validation parameters seem to be HG main account name and main domain name.
even if it needed the same email address and user ip it would be a matter of comparing 4 variables against their databased values. i dont know .. i just like to streamline my apps as much as possible to create less work form myself and my customers.
