I've noticed that others have had the same problems as I yesterday, my site that reaches thousands, instead of displaying it's pages was showing the ugly message that my account was suspended and to contact billing. How horrible a message to display to my users!
And it was only on that domain, not on my 10 others. So what the hey? Well, I contacted chat support, who told me to contact billing, so I phoned and talked to "brent" who told me my billing was up to date and my bandwidth was well under usage max, and told me to email support....MEANWHILE, my site is still DOWN FOR 6 HOURS. So support emails me back with this: "It's fixed now". WHAt the ???? I emailed back that I want an explanation...what happend? How will they ensure it won't happen in the future??? But alas, no answer. I smell a cover up.... I believe this is a very serious issue, and it is not being treated as such. Well, I`m paid upto date. I paid on Friday. In fact I paid twice with paypal by mistake. Once with an echeck, then again by direct funds which clears instantly. My account says I owe nothing.
This I get an email saying my account will be suspended due to upaid invoices I only spoke to Tim last night, because I wanted to get one of the payments returned that had been done by mistake.I could understand if this was a one off, but this is the third time this has happened to me in five months. If I wake up tomorrow morning and see `please contact billing` on all client sites I will not be pleased.

I`m more concerned about whay my clients will say if there`s a billing note on their page instead of their websites.

I got an email from PayPayl a couple days ago saying that my subscription was cancelled and I had to update my paying preferences, or some monkey crap like that. After no less than 7 emails with HG, I paid again and things seem ok now.
Host Gator was completely awesome when I first signed up. Now it's a joke. |

Well, I`ve emailed them twice but no reply. Be just my luck my sites will be down in the morning and through no fault of my own

It can also be edited under WHM->Account functions->Modify suspended account page. I believe, although I am not sure, that this will also work for your main domain, although I didn't want to suspend myself to find out and I haven't been suspended by HG either. Hope it helps Olly. |

Well, I`m still waiting for a reply to two emails I sent yesterday. I would like to know why I`m being sent reminders to pay else my service will be suspended.

I was sent a reminder the other day, my credit card expired end of last month (just over a week ago) so about 3 weeks ago (when I got my new card) I changed the billing details, for some reason the change screwed up the billing information.
Luckily I was sent the 'reminder' and was able to pay manually, just hope it goes through ok next month. I didn't tell billing about it, am sure they know. At the end of the email reminder it says: Quote:

When I signed up with host gator and payed with paypal I thought it would auto-pay. The next month I logged into email for the first time in a while and saw a bunch of emails saying I had unpaid invoices. I checked email on the 9th night, so I didn't have to pay $10!
