Default how to access cpanel before dns changeover....

....how does this happen with hostgator. If I setup a hostgator reseller acct, and then sign up a client, how does that client access cpanel to setup email accounts before they change their DNS's over? What is the URL they would enter?

Thanks
aj

They could login to either yourdomain.com/cpanel (or /securecontrolpanel to get the SSL encrypted one), or yourip/cpanel. As long as they use their own username, it'll be fine.

Matt, doesn't the canned welcome email that gets sent automatically give the login details for both pre- and post- nameserver switch?

Possibly...I never let those go to my clients and aren't sure what they say. As far as I know, those are only sent if you use billing software like WHMCS, WHMAP, ModernBill, etc... Otherwise, it's just a "new account created" email.

Either way, resellers are always able to give clients theResellerDomain.com/cpanel while their domain is propagating, instead of the IP, if they prefer.
