Tbird is currently under a dos aimed at apache. The dos is coming from random ip addresses that change with every hit. It's directed at the servers main ip which means there's no way of knowing what site the attacker is after.
We hope to have apache backup shortly.

It is a incoming syn flood with over 1200 requests per second. We bounced back all port 80 requests which made them move on for the time being.

My account is currently down again. Would this be due to this matter again? It is unfortunate this is happening now because I have only just had my reseller account for a month now. I know this may be out of your hands, but still, it's disappointing.

it would be good if we could be moved to another server, or even a bit more securaty on the server.

I'm sorry to say this but should this happen again in the next couple of days, I am going to consider hosting elsewhere. I'm not paying hostgator for downtimes.
