67.19.167.226 is showing Apache Down, Mysql Down, and the server load is: 21.52 (4 cpus).

My cPanel still shows apache and mysql have failed but my site has started working again after being down for a while. I have been complaining to support that this server has problems on and off for a month. Whenever cPanel shows the server load over about 8 or 9 my website grinds to a halt. After the server load passes 12 I can't even access the site at all. I have this same problem on a daily basis, more in the morning around 7:00 to 9:00 EST.

Has anyone else been experiencing the same problem? If so please express that to tech support. They always tell me the don't see any problems and tell me to contact them when I have another problem.

You should email the admins at sales@hostgator.com requesting a server change. They will most likely say no, but it will send up a 'red flag' saying that there is a problem on a server that is creating a very unhappy client.

Make sure you include:

1. Name
2. Account Username
3. Account Domain
4. Server You Are On

Make sure you say all of the details like when the server is down, what the load is at that time etc.

Apache was down for a few minutes while we removed hacker files from some exploited scripts.


Please call us next time you you have a problem. This is the first issue your server has had in a long time so I think something else is going on besides the problem today. Maybe some routing issues for you or something.

I'm not experiencing any problems right now or have I had problems since the server was down. BTW, my cPanel still says that Apache and mysql have failed.

It may be the first issue the server has had from your point of view but each time my cPanel says the server load is over 8 or 9 my website almost comes to a stop.

Could the hacker files be part of my problem?

Something we come across a lot is...


If you have a banner or code running off of someone else's server but on your site their server igoing slow can slow your site. A perfect example would be the google adsense. I have never seen or heard of Google causing a problem however I come across programs just like there's all the time slowing down sites.

Please call us next time things are going slow for you so we can check it out make sure it is not your isp.
