Cron job/Script would be the best way, but not running as root, so a cron would need to run in each account. This would need to be manually setup, there is no automation.

A shell script could do it, but that would be a bit more difficult.
Maybe chowvning these files to zero or a non domain-accessible level if permission.

The real problem is that this is a false problem.
We are trying to resolve a problem not having to be and making many of us nervous, putting work over the work.
I do not know how much HG pockets with this "Prints" and "Clicks" but having 158,000+ domains as today, I doubt that this shady approach will bring home more as a quarter per domain per month.
So what HG, put this in the price and act as a professional and we will not being (un)considered as non professinolas smeering around for to do some bucks on our clients without these agreement nor knowledge.

Even many of the 157,000 customers not coming here have probably a resentful feeling.

As a happy customer I do not have other complaints except the CPU load grey zone but will post about separated.

Hostgator projects they will make about $60,000 a year from the 404 pages, which will be given to charity.

If it is a big issue, then change hosts. Tell HG that you are leaving because of this issue. That is your only real choice.

Anyone on reseller hosting who thinks this is a problem should move to a dedicated box and be done with it! That IS the solution...

Well, your grasp of English is fairly good. Far better than my grasp of ANYTHING but English!
