Default 2nd domain/website on business package

Hi,

I already run my personal website on a shared server, with the business package. I just purchased a second domain name for my business. It's been a while since I've ran two domains from the same account, so if someone could refresh my memory as to what I need to do, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Hi! Would like to post on this thread as it is similar. I have a business account also with HG - and it has SSL installed.

The primary domain is luminati.net
My problem is that I added a second domain luminatitravel.com

What happens when I type in www.luminatitravel.com or luminatitravel.com is that is shows up as http://www.luminati.net/luminatitravel/
I allowed the cpanel to add the directory for it and I changed the DNS pointers over a week ago and still no "direct" connect to the website. It shows up in CPanel as an add on domain. I also have PHPList installed on the root of this subdirectory /home/public_html/luminatitravel/index.php

I have read all the info and a lot of other threads but didn't see an answer to the problem.

I have added add-on domains on other accounts just fine. Only this one doesn't work quite right. Anyone have any ideas? like do I need to redirect something? Thanks for any help!

What happens if you remove phplist? Do both domains work correctly then?

I went in and deleted PHPlist using fantastico - checked the file manager to make sure files were gone. Then added a simple index.html page.

No the website does not work correctly. It still goes to
http://www.luminati.net/luminatitravel/ when I type in luminatitravel.com

And DNS at registrar points to same nameservers as those used by luminati.net?

I suggest you remove the add-on domain, and then add it again, but do NOT let cPanel to add the directory, but instead place it in a directory directly in your account's root folder (/home/USERNAME/luminatitravel.com/).

I was thinking along similar lines... since I'd deleted the only program I was running, PHPlist why not try deleting the domain as well. The other thing I wondered about was installing the phplist on the root directory of the add-on domain. Maybe PHPlist needed to be installed in a subdirectory of the add-on domain rather than the root. It was just unusual. Will see what happens.
