Firstly I must say the live support and ticket system is fantastic in the rare times I have found problems (these where sql and server lag) support was fast and provided me with the reasons for instance rouge processes running by others on the server which they tracked down fast.
Even when reported SQL problems this was solved extreamly fast, much faster then any other hoster I have been with, I think this is because you do have direct contact with a support person and they are made aware of problems fast, therfore get on top of the problem. Billing by paypal I find perfect, I dont like giving my cc details to be stored on computers and prefer to maintain control of my funds instead of been at the will of a "computer error". There has been a few outages but nothing to write home about and considering I am on a "Baby Croc" account I cannot asume all others sharing this server are perfect customers and will always get one or two wanting to run games processes on cheap hosting of rouge processes. But give them credit Hostgater do keep on top of those that attemp to hog servers. The control panel is great once I got used to it, it give me great controll of whats happening on my space and even check the server status and how its running... perfect when you have lag, you can see the reasons and create a ticket so support can get on top of it. Overall since moving over to hostgater 6 months ago I have had nothing major happen, no billing problems and suport instantly. |
