100% lost my way, VPS is so different
I dunno dummy me when I picked the fully managed lvl3 with CP/VZ. I had assumed id have an easy to use for dummies CP like I have on sharded hosting. not so, 100% lost, looking all over CP and the VZ and can't for the life of me find any of the users settings. I need to create a FTP account access for a user and all sort of things Id have no trouble finding and doing on the shared CP. , do I have to install plesk in VZ to get more user friendly option??? |

I am so lost, why can't it be as simple as the shared CP. log in ,scroll down to files, click ftp account. easy 1-2-3 been all over up and down the whm CP and can't find anytihng like that. do I have to install plesk CP in VZ to get more user friendly option then in wmh cp???

Did you order the VPS with cpanel? If not, I suggest you do.

Good morning,
GvilleRick does have good advice. I recommend you try to login to the account's cPanel. If you have any questions, feel free to contact support@hostgator.com and we'll be happy to help.

First you need to create packages
Log in to WHM your domain:2087 Create packages for your user(s)/client(s) in WHM Once you have created packages then you need to create a new user. Fill in their info like domain, login name, password etc.. Once you have that set up you can login in to that CPanel to setup other options like ftp, email etc.. WHM is Not CPanel, and CPanel is not WHM... you have have access to the layer that you didn't have under shared hosting. |

Still am lost but starting to get it, some.
Did get things set up. I kinda thought fully managed with CP meants they took care of everything like on shared, and that semi managed would be more trouble. not that fully managed is trouble but its a big leap or step above the kind of controls you have on shared. Gonna be buggin support for a while till I get the hang of this VPS

1. WHM - Log into WHM to create cpanel accounts. 2. Cpanel - Log in to each cpanel account in the same way you do on your shared plan.

Yea, And thank god support is helpful. They don't automaticly hold your hand n set everything up for you like on shared. But if you ask for that on VPS they will gladly help ya cross the street like a 3yr old
